Who these classes are for

FAQs

What if my child is older or younger than the age range?
If your child is just outside these brackets, drop me a note and we can decide together.

Classes are layered so age matters less than the ability to follow instructions.
Does my child or teen need previous experience?

No. Classes are suitable for beginners as well as students already involved in sports or movement activities.

How are students grouped?

Classes currently welcome children and teens aged 5 – 15. Rather than separating students strictly by age, exercises are layered and adapted so each child can work at an appropriate level for their age, experience and ability.

This allows children with different levels of movement experience to take part in the same class while still being appropriately challenged.

Are the classes suitable for teens?

Yes. Teen sessions are designed to feel age-appropriate, structured, and supportive.

What if my child doesn’t settle or wants to leave?

It’s normal for some children to take a session or two to settle.

The taster class is £5 per child, per class, so your child can try the space before committing to a monthly or quarterly place. Children are never forced to join in and are encouraged to engage at their own pace.

What if my child is nervous for the first session?

The taster class is £5 per child, per class, so students can experience the environment before committing to a monthly or quarterly place.

Most students settle naturally once they become familiar with the space, structure and teaching style of the class.

Is this suitable if my child has additional needs?
Many children with additional needs benefit from clear structure, predictable routines, and calm teaching.

If there’s anything important I should know to support your child, you can share it in the follow-up form after registering interest.
What happens as the group grows?

As numbers grow, classes may be organised into more specific age groups so children and teens are supported appropriately. Any changes will be made carefully, based on registrations, age range and the needs of the group.
