Press & features
A press-ready window into a creative world shaped by stillness, presence, and emotional resonance.
You’re in the right place if you’re seeking a written interview, an emotionally intelligent collaboration, or a meaningful feature on an artist who values presence over performance.
I’m Viki Thorbjorn, an abstract artist and author creating emotionally resonant work that shifts both the energy of a space and the emotional state of those who inhabit it.
While I do not take part in traditional luxury circuits or performative press rounds, I welcome thoughtful conversations and intentional visibility. If the energy is right, I respond with clarity, depth, and care.
This page is here for curators, editors, writers, producers, and collaborators who understand the value of emotion, texture, and subtlety in art and storytelling.
Latest work
Stillness Is a Weapon (2025)
A written body of work on creative recovery, emotional survival, and the quiet power that doesn’t perform.
It arrived unplanned, in the space that followed breaking, and became both witness and offering.
The book is currently being shared privately with selected editors, collaborators, and emotionally attuned platforms.
Early praise
“Your book is so exquisitely written and spoke to me in ways even I didn’t understand I needed.” — Janye Hardy – author & creative
“A beautiful meditation on the true healing power of creativity” — Amy Britton – journalist
“Viki’s words are a mirror for every creative who’s ever had to fight to be heard. This book is not just about art—it’s about reclaiming power, healing from silence, and choosing courage over comfort. As someone who’s walked the path of reinvention and risk, there is wisdom in these pages.” — Toyosi Olowe- artist & entrepreneur
“Truly inspirational, emotive and heartwarming read, every page was soul inspiring and evoked a sense of depth and truth within the words, that resonated with me deeply” — Maria Badshamiah – glass & fine artist

“Art should never be an afterthought. It should be part of the architecture of the space itself.” — Interior Designer Magazine
This piece reframes art as a design material, not decoration. It challenges designers to choose art that moves, not matches. The most powerful rooms don’t look complete. They feel it. Art shouldn’t finish a space. It should complicate it, beautifully.

“Each of Viki’s pieces offers a window into emotion—delicate yet powerful.” — Nook & Find
This piece explored the emotional foundations of my practice, the quiet power of abstraction, and how colour and texture can transform not just spaces, but the nervous system of those who live within them.

Creative philosophy
I create art to hold what words cannot.
I write to explore what stillness makes visible.
Each piece is a vessel for presence, quiet intensity, and emotional resonance. My work isn’t made for display. It’s made to be lived with.
Collectors don’t come for style. They come for the shift they feel when a piece enters the room.
This is for those no longer moved by surface. It belongs in spaces where emotion is understood as intelligence.
Signature offerings
Soul on Canvas
A one-of-one emotional commission created through dialogue and intuitive reflection. Each piece is hand-painted, then transformed into a single gallery-grade canvas print. The original is not kept, reproduced, or repeated. It belongs only to the story it was made from
Legacy Thread
A limited collection of abstract works created before the book, shaped by the same emotional territory. Each canvas print is a visual thread of presence and protection. Offered privately.
Fragments from the Writing Room
Three unreleased canvas artefacts painted during the writing of Stillness Is a Weapon. Available in A3 format. Rare, private, and emotionally charged.
The Last 10
A rare series of hand-embellished prints. Just ten are made for each selected release. Each piece carries finality, presence, and the weight of something that will not be revisited.
Collector’s Vault
Open and limited-edition canvas prints ranging from £1,500 to £8,000. Museum-quality materials. Offered in selected sizes for emotionally attuned spaces.
Creative collaborations
I partner selectively with brands and productions where the art becomes atmosphere. Alignment matters more than exposure. Substance matters more than scope. There are no licensing deals. No mass-market partnerships. No exceptions.
If you are building something with emotional presence at the core, I welcome the conversation.
Awards & recognition
- Abstract Art Businesswoman of the Year (UK), 2024
- Abstract Artist of the Year, 2024/25
Topics I’m often asked to write about
Stillness as a form of power: what luxury spaces are truly designed to hold
The emotional role of art in nervous system regulation
Legacy without noise: how presence creates enduring impact
Reconnecting with the self through colour, abstraction, and emotional resonance
Art as a vessel for memory, not attention
How stillness became the most radical creative choice I’ve made
The intersection of healing, space, and aesthetic intelligence
What happens when you stop creating for performance and start creating for peace
If one of these reflects the depth you’re building, or if your vision carries its own thread, I welcome the conversation.
Let’s create something meaningful, ot just marketable.
My Creative Journey
A life shaped by colour, energy, and emotional resonance.
I’ve been painting and drawing since childhood. Back then, art was a language before I had words.
It helped me process what I could not explain.
Over time I explored portraits, murals, illustration, and competitions. I exhibited, I sold, I studied.
But it wasn’t until 2024 that I made a decision to give everything to this practice, without apology, without splitting my focus.
Since then, I have stopped creating for applause.
I paint for resonance. For release. For the quiet shift that happens when someone sees a piece and recognises themselves in it.
I write for the same reason.

Two worlds, one practice
- vikithorbjorn.art – for private commissions, emotional collaborations, and ultra-limited editions
- vikithorbjornart.shop – for museum-grade canvas prints made for designers and visionaries
Everything I create is made to be felt. It is for spaces with soul.
