About Viki

I teach movement the same way I make art and write. To help people find strength and stillness they can live with. Expect focus, care, and a calm room.

Small note: movement is one branch of my wider practice alongside art and writing

FAQs

Do I need to be flexible to join?

No. We build strength and mobility steadily. Touching your toes is optional. Keeping your spine happy is the goal.

Are beginners welcome?

Yes. You get clear instruction and layered options. Start where you are and progress at a pace that feels safe.

How long is a class?

Classes are between 45 minutes to an hour. Expect a calm warm-in, focused main phase, and a proper settle at the end.

I have an injury. Can I still come?

Often yes. I offer adaptations for most joints, backs, and post-surgery realities. Please email me first and get clearance from your clinician if needed.

What should I bring?

Your mat, water, and a light layer for the end. Blocks or a strap are useful if you have them.

Who is it for?

Adults and teens. Beginners welcome. Kids sessions will come later.

What if I feel anxious in groups?

You will not be pushed or singled out. Quiet room. Consent first. Options to pause or step aside are built in.

What is your teaching style?

Clear, precise, and a bit cheeky. Strong basics first, playful challenges second. Expect layered options, clean cues, and real rest. We take care of the nervous system, use props like they’re friends, and laugh at the wobbles. No barked orders. Consent-based adjustments. You leave steadier, stronger, and in a better mood than you arrived.

Do you offer private or workplace sessions?

Yes. I run one-to-ones and short, focused sessions for teams. Email to arrange.

Where do you run retreats?

Across the UK and Europe with hosts who value depth, quiet, and care. If you are a venue or organiser, get in touch and we will build the right format.

How do I book or ask a question?

Email me at hello [at] vikithorbjorn [dot] art and I’ll confirm availability, location, and next steps.
